From the coldest depths of the Sask. winters, guitarist Keegan Rohovich and drummer Brett Lindsay, have compiled a fistful of energetic and consistently emotional tracks under the title “CAT MASK”, the duo’s debut release. This 8 track album strolls fearlessly into the oddly timed and often uncomfortable world of math/instrumental rock. Though prominently featuring clean guitars, Ki The Tree doesn't stride away from getting loud and aggressive when the time comes. The jolting rhythmic blasts from songs like “Prospero” give way to experimental noise tracks that show a glimpse into the emotional content of the album, largely focused on coping with death and creating oneself anew after facing deep trauma.
